Generation X

This British punk-rock band Generation X was created by Billy Idol, Tony James and John Towe on November the 21^st, 1976. The members of Generation X were Billy Idol, Tony James, Bob Andrews, John Towe, Mark Laff, Terry Chimes and James Stevenson. Although the band was not as famous as some of the contemporaries such as the Damned, the Clash and the Sex Pistols, but this first wave of British punk-rockers surged into the music scene during the same time as the other bands. And although they had relished a fair success in the United Kingdom, the band would become more popular as a cannon ball launch for their front man, Billy Idol, who would take off to a huge money-making success in the 1980s.
